Buckingham proclaims Alexander Abbasi an Eagle Scout for neighborhood project

Buckingham Township’s Board of Supervisors adopted a proclamation recognizing Alexander Abbasi of Buckingham Township and Scout Troop 64, Washington Crossing Council, for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. The proclamation (adopted July 2026) directs that township records note his accomplishments and commends his service to the community.
Abbasi described his Eagle Scout project to board members and residents: he built a simple PVC fishing-line disposal system around a pond, about two feet tall with a removable bottom so collected line can be discarded or recycled. "It's a 2 foot. There's a drain out, so you just unscrew the bottom," he said, adding that neighbors have found the installation convenient and that he is proud of the outcome.
