The Buckingham Township Board of Supervisors voted to award the Furlong Well PFAS removal general contract (BT-26-01) to GS Developers Inc. of Doylestown, PA for $1,737,334, and separately approved the electrical contract (BT-26-02) to the same firm for $184,970. Chair moved the award and the motion passed with the board voting in favor.
A township staff member explained funding: "This would normally be funded through our water revenues, but it will actually be funded through a PennVast grant that will cover the entire construction costs for our removal project," providing that federal grant compliance requirements are met. The board recorded the awards and staff noted the grants will require compliance with federal conditions tied to the funding.
