Board renews WIAA membership to preserve tournament eligibility

A district staff member explained that renewing the district’s membership with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association is an annual requirement to participate in state tournaments. “This is just the our annual, agreement with the WIA to abide by their rules and regulations. We need to do this in order to be part of the state tournaments,” the staff member said.
A motion to approve the WIAA membership renewal was made and seconded; the board approved renewal by voice vote. No additional conditions or fees were discussed during the motion.
