Board authorizes Bound platform for online payments, will pass card fees to users

The board approved enabling the Bound platform for registrations, scheduling, digital ticketing and online payments; the district will either absorb card fees or pass them to users and will pull funds into district accounts after processing.
A district staff member explained the district’s recent move to the Bound platform for registration and scheduling and requested board approval to enable payment features including digital ticketing and concession-card processing. “One of a couple of features that it brings to us is digital ticketing, online payments for athletic fees, and then also being able to take debit/credit card payments on our concession stands,” the staff member said.
The staff member said the district can pass credit-card fees along to users or pay them; the current decision is to pass fees to the user to preserve a cash option. The board moved, seconded and approved enabling Bound’s payment features. The board directed staff to make fee information clear to users when they choose card payments.
