The Humboldt Planning and Zoning Board handled several procedural and substantive items at its Sept. 23, 2024 special meeting held at the Humboldt Community Center.
Agenda and minutes: Kristi Gambs moved to add the west Town of Humboldt sign as item c. on the agenda; Mike Noonan seconded and the amendment passed on a unanimous roll call. The board then approved the minutes of the Aug. 26, 2024 regular meeting and the Sept. 9, 2024 special meeting on a unanimous roll call (motion by Kristi Gambs, second by Mike Lias).
Substantive motions and outcomes: The board voted 5-0 to deny the Siemonsma property access permit for HWY 38 (motion by Mike Lias, second by Brad Gibbens). The board also adopted a unanimous motion (moved by Mike Noonan, seconded by Kristi Gambs) recording that it had been notified of Department of Transportation right-of-way issues affecting the Hair Garden cement pad and the West Town of Humboldt sign; the minutes do not record further directed action or communications with DOT.
