Ridgetop adopts FY2026–27 budget including 5% employee pay increase

Alderman Senft moved to adopt the ordinance and Vice Mayor Gilmore seconded; the motion carried with all voting aye.
Kelly Rider, City Recorder, said that "a 5% employee pay increase is included in the budget." The board also approved Ordinance 2026-104, an amendment to the FY2025–26 budget, on a separate motion by Alderman Gregory and second by Alderman Senft.
The adopted budget formally sets the city’s tax rate and funding priorities for the coming fiscal year and becomes effective July 1, 2026. Council members did not record separate roll-call discussion of line‑item changes in the meeting minutes provided; the record shows unanimous approval of both ordinances.
