Residents call for enforcement, education and permanent calming to address speeding concerns

Other attendees asked for education and enforcement during the transition so drivers learn roundabout behavior and do not roll through crosswalks; one resident requested ticketing for violations during the adjustment period. Steve Cronin said the town will work with the police department on enforcement and will provide outreach material about roundabout operation. "We'll work with PD and you can also work entirely to get out some additional information on roundabout operation," Cronin said. Town staff also said they can use channelizing, cones and barrels to help control flows on constrained segments and will evaluate and adjust after detours go into effect.
