Resident urges delay on Prince George 2045 plan, says Disputana should remain conservation

William Steele of 9921 County Line Road in Disputana addressed the commission during the public hearing and urged a postponement of any recommendation until newly elected commissioners and Board members are seated. "Let's put it on hold," Steele said, arguing that the community around Disputana should remain designated for conservation rather than be moved into the planning area.
Steele said the county had already spent money on the plan and expressed concerns with portions of the draft: "We spent $200,000 for this plan," he said, and asked the commission to wait until January so newly elected officials could participate in such decisions.
