Humboldt board approves supplemental budget reading and 2024 salaries resolution

Humboldt’s City Board approved the second reading of Supplemental Budget Ordinance O-12-18-2023-01 on Jan. 8, 2024. The motion to approve the second reading was made by Julian Gambs and seconded by President Ritchy Griepp; roll call was unanimous.
The board also adopted the 2024 Salaries Resolution R-01-08-2024-01. Under that resolution, the Natural Gas manager’s wages were increased by 4% immediately, with an additional 4% increase to take effect upon the completion of water and sewer certifications. The salaries resolution was moved by Kelly O’Gorman and seconded by Griepp and carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
Both votes were taken during the old business portion of the agenda as the board processed budget and personnel items.
