Staff presented revisions to policy 2410 and 2410P to align district graduation requirements with contemporary pathway options and to allow principals and counselors local flexibility for transfer students or students who change pathways during junior or senior year. Superintendent Keith said the changes "bring our policy and procedures into place, which is less restrictive and have some locally determined options that the principal and counselor can put into place."
The motion to approve the revised policy language was made and the board recorded affirmative votes. The change is administrative and will be posted to the district website; staff said the majority of procedures remain unchanged and the revision reflects current practice and bargaining outcomes.
