Spindler explained the proposed amendment to Ordinance 2022-10 (to be filed as Ordinance 2026-1) would change inventory cycles from annual to every two years, require department heads to sign and date inventory sheets, and require assets to be entered in the county's tracking program when placed in service and removed when sold or transferred. He also said disposal sales of $5,000 or more would require commissioners' prior approval.
A motion to adopt the amendment was made and, given the auditor's review and recommendation, commissioners moved to suspend the rules and approve the ordinance on second reading at the same meeting. The motion passed by voice vote and was recorded as adopted.
