The North Salt Lake Planning Commission voted to approve a plat amendment for Village Station at Eagle Woods, a subdivision at 445 South Orchard Drive, after a staff presentation and discussion. Sherry, a city staff member, told commissioners the amendment renumbers Lot 11 to Lot 13, absorbs a vacated portion of Orchard Drive into the subdivision as a private street, and preserves a small corner for a detention basin while maintaining an easement for trail and sidewalk access.
Sherry said, "So this is the plat amendment," and explained that the change follows an earlier amendment to the development plan and a road vacation approved by the council. She described a minor lot-line adjustment between Lots 12 and 13 that reallocates parking; the parking will be shared and owned by the same management entity that owns the adjacent apartments. Staff recommended approval from the Development Review Committee (DRC) conditioned on correcting any outstanding engineering "red lines" prior to recordation so that the correct lot boundaries will be recorded.
A commissioner moved to approve the second amendment to the Village Station at Eagle Woods subdivision with the condition that outstanding engineering corrections be completed before recordation; the motion was seconded and the commission voted in favor. The commission then moved to the related site-plan item on the agenda.
The decision was procedural and conditioned: the commission did not alter the development agreement or site-plan details at this meeting. The recordation requirement means building permits for the adjusted lot cannot be issued until the red-line corrections are resolved.
