Krista Siringo and Bryan Plant presented the Bristol Equity Committee's history, the outreach the committee conducted and the results of community survey questions, and proposed next steps to advance inclusivity in town processes. The presenters reported that the current committee members will not continue and recommended a new structure, such as designated members of existing committees meeting regularly to address equity matters.
Selectboard members engaged briefly on format and leadership involvement. Vice Chair Jessica Teets suggested using designated members of existing committees to carry work forward; Porter Knight urged that Town leadership be involved in future equity efforts. The board received the report; no formal action to reorganize the committee was recorded at the meeting.
