Selectboard Vice Chair Jessica Teets raised safety concerns about a fire-damaged, unoccupied house on East Street that has roofing material falling onto the sidewalk. Town Administrator Gregory Faust said the town has no authority to require removal of the structure but will look into possible ways to address the problem. "Greg noted that the Town has no ability to request that the structure be removed, but that he will look into ways to address the situation," the minutes state.
Peeker Heffernan reported that residents have expressed concerns regarding Act 181; given the likelihood of imminent changes, the board agreed to postpone issuing any town communication on the issue. Michelle Perlee asked for an update on an estate sale; Town Clerk Sharon Lucia provided timing and said there is a second estate sale about which she had been contacted. No formal directives or enforcement actions were recorded during the discussion.
