Bristol Equity Committee reports survey findings, urges structured follow-up

Krista Siringo and Bryan Plant presented the Bristol Equity Committee’s history, community engagement efforts and survey results, and recommended next steps for improving inclusivity in town processes. "We surveyed residents and summarized the responses to inform next steps," Siringo said, describing outreach and the committee’s intent to hand off follow-up work.
Vice Chair Jessica Teets proposed a model in which designated members of existing committees meet regularly to coordinate equity efforts, rather than forming a separate, standalone body. Porter Knight urged that town leadership be involved in future equity efforts, noting the importance of elected and appointed officials participating in implementation. The board did not take formal action beyond hearing the report.
