Ashley Watts, executive director of York County All On Board, told the Clover board that prevention work across four school districts centers on parent education, enforcement partnerships and community trainings. "For every dollar we spend in prevention, we save about $20 later on," Watts told the board while describing prom-pledge events, enforcement efforts and student-facing activities.
Watts said the coalition has provided 24 free Good Samaritan trainings in the past 18 months and has distributed 772 units of naloxone in local programs; she also cited a county total of 118 overdose deaths in 2023 and described ongoing efforts such as medication-disposal boxes and peer-led prevention messaging. Board members thanked All On Board for partnership and indicated continued collaboration with schools and local agencies.
