The Dawson County Planning Commission voted March 17 to recommend approval to the Board of Commissioners for a special-use permit for Sky Acres Farm at 300 Bailey Waters Road.
Applicant Laurie Verhoven said the request stems from an expired business license and that the operation will host "only two or three horses coming to the farm for training for about a month or two" with no new structures and only drop-off/pick-up traffic. The commission recommended approval by a 3-0 vote (Maloney/Hornsey).
