Superintendent Amy Minor told the board that the construction permit for the PPS project has been issued and that weekly meetings among the district, contractors and architects have begun. She said site preparations will soon start with installation of barriers and fencing to secure the area.
Minor added that UMS and Black River will meet on October 16 to further develop the site plan, parking, playground and interior layout and design theme. The update focused on near-term implementation steps for facilities work and design coordination.
Student Representative Trinity McCarthy described how six people were inducted into the inaugural CHS Hall of Fame, noting recognition at a pep rally, a luncheon with tours, a ribbon-cutting of a Hall of Fame hallway, and an award presentation during halftime at an evening soccer game.
