The Flat Rock Community Schools Board approved a final amendment to the 2025-26 General Fund budget during its June 22 meeting.
"Motion by Mrs. Engelbert, supported by Mr. Hamet, to approve the Final Budget Amendment for 2025-2026, as presented," the record shows. Administrators said the amendment increased revenue estimates by about 0.71% and expenditures by about 0.65% relative to the April amendment, producing a marginal improvement of roughly $7,600 in the district's deficit calculations. The projected ending General Fund balance after the amendment is approximately $7.86 million, or 26.18% of expenditures.
Board members approved the amendment by unanimous voice vote. The business office will carry the amended figures forward as staff prepares year-end financials and transitions to the adopted 2026-27 budget.
