CDD approves additional cleanup at parcel '33' including tree removal and mulching

District Manager Chuck Adams presented the proposal requested by Supervisor Carol Vaughan and described the scope discussed during a site visit. District Engineer Kurt Heath advised board members that "there is a natural wetland in the center of the area" and that on the western side there is a separate excavated retention area; he said the optional scope covers weed‑whacker cleanup of a dry retention slope that is recommended but does not impede drainage. Ms. Lonergan asked that maps be provided to Supervisor Putman before work proceeds. The board approved the proposal, including the optional scope, on a unanimous motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Mr. Putman; Mr. Adams said the invoice would be paid upon completion.
Mr. Gatz later said free wood chips are available and additional mulching will occur in early spring; he will inspect native grasses at Hole 2 and advise whether replacement is needed.
