Resident Don Brothers told the board the tree is an invasive species that "might land on nearby homes during a hurricane" if not removed, and Supervisor Putman said he inspected and photographed the site that morning. District Manager Chuck Adams had previously explained that A‑Z's proposal uses a forestry mulcher and is mechanically intensive, compared with Environmental Solutions' handwork approach.
The board considered three A‑Z estimates, including a $350 clean-up and trim and a $5,475 forestry mulch option for pond areas, before approving the $600 stump-grinding job. The board did not specify a contractor start date at the meeting.
