The Heritage Pines Community Development District adopted Resolution 2025‑02 on Dec. 10, 2024, amending its Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget to reflect recent expenditures and to add contingency authority.
District Manager Chuck Adams presented the amendment, saying it was necessary to record the major expenditure related to the new lawnmower and described layout changes in the budget spreadsheet to show actuals versus adopted budget and proposed increases. The board increased the "Operations and maintenance - Contingencies" line item by $20,000 to cover potential additional journal entries; Mr. Adams said any unused funds will remain in the surplus fund balance. Ms. Lonergan noted "the CDD will receive a refund of $1,298 from the Tax Collector’s Office," reflecting the difference between actuals and the amended budget. The resolution was adopted unanimously on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Mr. Putman.
The action updates the district’s financial plan for FY 2023/24 and records both the equipment purchase and a modest contingency increase; district staff will reflect the changes in accounting records and the minutes.
