"They will train our teacher of our choosing and the 1Goal curriculum," Dyer said, adding the organization conducts post-secondary surveys and follows students into the first two years after high school.
Board members also probed a $147,000 line item for a This Works restorative-practices contract aimed at reducing suspension disproportionality for students with disabilities. Members asked for outcome data on restorative practices and evidence of program effectiveness; Dyer said historical results had been presented previously and offered to provide updated figures at the next meeting. The board ultimately placed these items on the consent agenda after discussion.
