Board narrows Roosevelt logo choices, asks for two final mockups

The Clover School District Board of Trustees reviewed new and previously discussed logo concepts for Roosevelt Elementary/Middle and asked staff to return with two refined mockups for final consideration. Stephanie Knott, the district's public information officer, summarized the set of prior and revised images and the changes made after earlier board feedback.
"Option 5 ... gives you that full look at the tiger on the rock," Knott said while walking the board through the updated designs and the varsity-blue lettering requested at an earlier meeting. Board members debating visual clutter and legibility repeatedly recommended eliminating or simplifying the 'RMS' lettering on the rock and replacing it with a block 'R' to keep the mark legible at small sizes. One board member said they preferred Option 8; others favored Option 5 with a block R.
Members asked for two return mockups so the board can make a final selection at the next business meeting: Option 5 with a block R on the rock and Option 8 with slightly wider letter spacing. Dr. Quinn confirmed staff would present the two options at the March business meeting for a vote.
The discussion centered on legibility and secondary uses of the marks (jerseys, secondary logos, and small-format applications). Staff said they will also develop a suite of secondary marks (paws, simplified initials) once the board approves a primary mark.
