Parent urges Clover board to inspect activity buses after safety concerns

Laura Wadecki, a parent of four Clover graduates, told the board she discovered an inspection sticker more than a year overdue on a district activity bus and described multiple maintenance problems she documented, including doors that do not close, visible mold-like spots, nonfunctional defrosters, missing emergency equipment and windows that will not stay closed. "My number one concern is safety for all students," Wadecki said, asking the board to take a field trip to ride district activity buses and to follow up publicly on findings.
Superintendent Dr. Quinn thanked Wadecki and said the district will bring the buses and transportation needs into May budget discussions. "If you would please join us in the May board meetings, we're gonna be talking about the budget then, and those buses will come up then," Dr. Quinn said. The board did not take immediate action during public forum but the superintendent signaled the issue will surface in the upcoming budget review and committed to follow-up communications.
