Clover High AFJROTC highlights growth, community service and first perfect unit evaluation

Cadet colonel Natalie Parker outlined measurable goals for 2024–25: promotion-rate targets by class year, a 15% improvement in unit physical fitness scores from baseline testing, recruitment targets and a plan to contribute 6,000 service hours and collect 2,500 canned-food items for local food banks. Presenters emphasized cadet-led community service — from flag-training visits to Special Olympics support — and a slate of competitive teams that brought state and national recognition.
The cadet presenters listed program accomplishments including national finalist placements in academic and cyber competitions, a national marksmanship team title and multiple flight academy selects. The group said they received a perfect unit evaluation earlier in the fall: "We got a perfect score — the first perfect score in our unit's history," a presenter said.
Board members asked clarifying questions about honor-society designations and program operations; presenters said the Kitty Hawk honor society is the unit’s equivalent of the National Honor Society and offered to connect board members with cadet leaders for follow-up. The spotlight concluded with applause and a board commendation for the unit’s instructors and volunteers.
