Rick Champion explained that Education Code requires districts to adjust the adopted budget within 45 days of the state's final budget and described the technical reclassifications being made to reflect prior approvals and new revenue.
Champion told trustees the revision incorporates an estimated additional $217,000 in restricted Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) funding for after-school care at TK–6 sites; he said that amount was unknown at the time the adopted budget was prepared and is now being added to the revenue and expenditure schedules. The board moved and approved the revision by unanimous vote.
