Board members approved several procurement actions at the meeting, including an RFP to establish qualified vendors for specialized student services, a design contract for Grant High School HVAC replacement, and renewals for several sole-source instructional platforms.
Deputy Superintendent Chavez summarized the RFP evaluation (three proposals, committee scoring across experience, reliability and program offerings) and recommended awarding RFP 2026-04 for ancillary and related services to a set of vendors including LDA Therapy Services, Presence Learning, The Stepping Stone Group, LSG, and E Luma. The motion to approve the RFP passed unanimously.
Deputy Superintendent Jones presented RFP 2026-03-S25-001 to design Grant High School’s HVAC replacement using PFCOC capital funding; the board approved awarding the design contract to FBT Architects. Jones said the selected firm will produce design documents in approximately six months; a subsequent construction RFP will follow based on that design.
Separately, the board approved sole-source renewals for Renaissance ($180,297.97), Lexia ($78,950) and SIOP/TESOL trainers (peer coaching $68,889.84 and PD $40,847.63) by voice vote. Chavez emphasized the ancillary vendors will provide speech, RT, PT, OT, diagnostic and social-work services under the procurement code.
