Supervisors say sale keeps campus in educational use and helps school open for fall

Brad Stern said the arrangement will enable the school to move in and ready the facility for the fall semester. Supervisor Schwab noted that improvements the buyer makes, together with principal and interest payments, would "accrue to our benefit" should the property revert to the county in the event of default. Supporters said finding a buyer for a former college campus is difficult and that this sale was preferable to leaving the campus unused or demolished.
