Residents tell commission to 'slow it down,' citing traffic, wells and schools near Southerly Run

Other residents echoed traffic and water worries. "If today you consider the next project... that's 3,000 extra cars a day added to Middle Road," said Catherine Sissery, who said she and neighbors rely on wells and worry about groundwater and wastewater impacts. Don Matipo urged commissioners to consider cumulative impacts across multiple projects on Bridal Road. Local builder Justin Noblin supported the project on the grounds that it followed county rules and said historical county data did not show a proportional increase in students tied to recent housing starts. Kim Ealy summarized neighborhood sentiment: "It's so dang busy already... I just think it would be better not to have this. Slow it down."
