Lauren, the town health agent, told the Board that dispatch had called for a medical response at 86 South Street and that Kingston’s health agent posted a placard after exterior photos and an inspection concluded the dwelling was unfit for habitation. Lauren said the resident cannot return until a biohazard cleanup and necessary repairs are completed and a reinspection confirms the residence is sanitary.
The board chair moved to uphold the emergency condemnation and the motion passed. Justin Carroll (board member) voted in favor; one board member abstained. The Board directed Lauren to continue working with the resident’s contacts and to re‑inspect after remediation. The condemnation remains in effect until ServiceMaster or another cleaning team restores sanitary conditions and the health agent removes the placard.
