At the June 24 meeting, the Town Administrator reported changes to Select Board liaison assignments. Chair Ed Walsh will retain responsibility for the Transfer Station and Lincoln School; Tom McGurty was assigned liaison duties for Municipal Finance, Planning Board and Personnel; Jon Denekamp will cover Conservation, Forest and Cemetery committees; David Winchell Jr. will liaise on Roads, Municipal Grounds and the Fire Department; and Dan Norwood will cover the Mary Grant Committee, Mousam Dam Coalition, EMA and Recreation Committee. The Town Administrator said there will be no single liaison to the Warrant & Finance Committee because the Select Board intends to address budget matters as a group.
The Town Administrator also said two liquor license requests had arrived from the state: one for a wedding event and one for Iron Tails. The Iron Tails application has been publicized and will be the subject of a July 8, 2026 public hearing. The board’s liaison reshuffle is intended to clarify who attends department and committee meetings and to encourage broader Select Board participation during the budget process.
