Commission members discussed the Capital Improvement Plan timetable and the need to put projects into the CIP pipeline well before construction funding would be available.
Staff said the CIP process has been moved to the fall and that citizens' requests are due September 18. "Citizens' requests are due ... September 18," the staff liaison said, and members agreed to draft possible language the commission could submit as either a committee-backed citizen request or as individual citizen submissions if needed. Staff suggested scheduling a meeting before that deadline so the commission can finalize any CIP requests it wants to endorse.
