Residents raise concerns about contractor work, streetlights, speeding e-bikes and records access

Ginger Marshall raised a public-safety concern about electric bikes speeding in Lakeside and said local police no longer patrol there regularly; Commissioner Deakins said he would speak to the Sheriff’s Department and the HOA. Other commenters offered volunteer services: Earl Demsey of 1st State Inspection Agency offered same-day inspections if requested by 9 am, and certified naturalist Greg Wilston offered to replant vacant spots at Veteran’s Park with native plants at wholesale cost.
The public comments reinforced council discussion about the pumping station punch-list and the decision to examine contractor accountability and inspection records.
