After discussion President Newnam moved not to award the contract at this time and to have town employees continue those responsibilities; Commissioner Potter seconded and the motion passed unanimously (Sullivan–Y, Newnam–Y, Potter–Y, Chase–Y).
President Newnam asked the Distinctive Landscaping representative if the company would submit a revised proposal that breaks down costs by item and offers an as-needed pricing option; the representative agreed to provide that breakdown to the Town. No contract was executed and the town will continue in-house maintenance until the council reviews any revised bid.
