Premier Lakes reports 'lakes in very good shape'; crews prepare for tropical storm

Bill Kurth, representing Premier Lakes, updated the River Ridge CDD Board on Aug. 27 that the lakes and preserves are in “very good shape” and outlined near-term maintenance activities.
Kurth said crews removed fallen trees from the Florida Power & Light ditch and outfall structure ahead of an impending tropical storm and that repairs to the Lake H1-B nano-bubbler — which lost prime after being turned off — would be completed the following day. He reported that key quarterly maintenance items were completed and that Premier moved from quarterly to monthly service frequency during the rainy season. Kurth also noted that proposals for the electrical portion of relocating a compressor in Masters Lake will be presented by Operations Manager Shane Willis and Premier’s Alex Kurth.
The board did not record objections to the maintenance plan. Staff will follow up on the compressor relocation proposals and scheduled nano-bubbler repair.
