River Ridge CDD adopts amended FY2024/25 budget

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted its fiscal year 2024/2025 budget on Aug. 27, approving Resolution 2024-07 after minor corrections to the posted document.
District Manager Chuck Adams told the board that the version included in the agenda contained scrivener errors, including the “Street sweeping” description on Page 2. Mrs. Cleo Adams opened and closed the statutorily required public hearing with no affected property owners or members of the public speaking. On a motion by Assistant Secretary Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Assistant Secretary Robert Twombly, the board adopted the budget as amended (unanimous).
The adopted budget covers the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024 and ending Sept. 30, 2025. The board’s approval included authorization for routine budget amendments as provided in the resolution. The board did not identify a change to the effective date; the resolution was adopted as presented after the textual corrections.
The next procedural step is implementation by district staff and accounting reconciliation; Mrs. Adams and Mr. Blumenthal noted a separate effort to reconcile 2022A and 2022B notes in the financial statements discussion that followed the budget hearing.
