Park County commissioners voted to approve a petition to abandon a portion of Clark Street in the town identified in the petition following a final public hearing. County staff reported that a review team completed a reviewers report in June and recommended approval while adding a utility easement to the abandonment area.
“This is just the final public hearing before you approve or not,” a county staff member said during the hearing, summarizing prior work on the petition. Commissioner Waltz moved to approve the petition for abandonment; the motion was seconded and the board voted in favor. The commission’s approval retains the utility easement that staff added during the review.
The petition was originally dropped off in March and underwent the county review process, including a June reviewers report. The commission did not record an itemized roll-call tally in the transcript; the board concluded the matter by voice vote. Next steps are administrative: staff will update the plat/recording paperwork to reflect the easement and the abandonment.
