Lenore Brakefield (Woodward Pires & Lombardo, P.A.) said the Village of Estero's stance is that it does not need to maintain the road west of U.S. 41 to the clubhouse. District Counsel Tony Pires told the board he believes the County is responsible and said he will send a letter to the Village of Estero and the County's counsel stating that the Village owns the road.
Operations Manager Shane Willis said he previously emailed Johnson Engineering documents to Mr. Pires on Nov. 20, 2024, that confirm the ownership lines. The board directed Mr. Pires to proceed with sending the letter to clarify maintenance responsibility between the Village and the County.
