River Ridge to participate in Pelican Sound Safeguard Panel objectives; sidewalk inspections to be presented in January

Board designated supervisors to represent the CDD on Pelican Sound Safeguard Panel Objective 2 (natural disaster mitigation) and Objective 4 (street safety). Staff circulated a seven‑objective action plan and said sidewalk inspection results and repair estimates will be presented at the January meeting.
During the supervisors’ requests portion of the meeting, Chair Bob Schultz said the CDD will participate in Pelican Sound’s Safeguard Panel objectives: Objective 2 (community natural disaster mitigation), for which Mr. Keith Merrill will represent the CDD, and Objective 4 (improving street safety), for which Mr. Robert Twombly will represent the CDD.
Eric Long said he had emailed an Action Plan of seven objectives to the communities and will provide an update on the panel’s first meeting, scheduled for December. District Engineer Charlie Krebs said the sidewalk inspection report is being finalized and will be presented at the January meeting along with repair estimates; he will commence line‑of‑sight inspections in the interim.
