Counsel restates view on Corkscrew Road ownership as town‑hall study continues

District Counsel Tony Pires told the board his opinion regarding ownership of the portion of Corkscrew Road west of U.S. 41 remains unchanged after retrieving documents related to the issue. Chair Bob Schultz said the Village of Estero engaged Johnson Engineering to inspect streets and walkways to determine repair needs, and PSGRC President Neil Collins updated the board that community Town Hall discussions are focusing on the intersection of U.S. 41 and the east side of Corkscrew Road; Mr. Wilhems confirmed the study will include the west side as well.
Mr. Pires and Mr. Krebs summarized county and village positions on ownership and maintenance responsibilities based on past memorandums and documents. Mr. Pires said he would forward contact information for Apple Signs to Mrs. Adams for follow‑up.
