Tioga to apply for $125,000 Rural Health Transformation Grant for community walking program

President Brett Rieniets said Joy Sparks of the Community Center would like to apply for a Rural Health Transformation Grant to fund a walking program. Community partner Josh Vachal told the commission the grant amount is $125,000 and said Live Well Tioga and Tioga Medical collaborated on the application materials.
The commission voted to approve the grant application submission; Rieniets emphasized that all grant requests must be routed through City Hall for Commission approval prior to submission. Staff will proceed with completing the application on behalf of the community center and return to the commission with updates as required.
