Phenix City council approved an emergency authorization for replacement of a pump at the Cedardale Lift Station, with the read amount exceeding $31,192.73 and Southern Rewinding and Sales named as the contactor. The utilities-item reading explained the pump malfunction could lead to overflow risks and that the replacement was required to protect public safety.
