ASB president reports state finishes, spring activities at Grandview board meeting

At the Grandview School District board meeting, ASB president Jaylee Dillon told trustees that Grandview's teams had recent successes and students are preparing spring activities. “Right now, what just happened was our basketball team went to state, and they placed 6th overall,” Dillon said, and she added the unified basketball team placed third at state.
Mikayla, identified as the ASB social-media lead, said spring sports began last Monday and listed programs now underway: track, boys and girls soccer, tennis, baseball and bass (club). She described student-led recognition plans for classified staff week and a "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign to reduce discrimination against people with disabilities.
The board thanked the students for the update and encouraged community support at upcoming games and events. The presentation focused on student achievements and planned schoolwide activities rather than budget or policy items.
