Council continues Boulder Valley comprehensive plan adoption to Aug. 6

At the start of the meeting, Council opened Item 3a—the first public hearing on the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan (BVCP) adoption—and after a brief staff introduction moved to continue the public hearing to August 6. Staff said the BVCP update has been discussed by multiple bodies and that renoticing may be required depending on final procedures; Brad Mueller, director of planning and development services, confirmed staff would coordinate next steps.
Council voted unanimously to continue the BVCP adoption to August 6 so that the city can provide fuller community notice and allow more time for deliberation. Mayor Brockett said the council could name a date certain and return with additional notice if necessary.
