Town Administrator April Rollins told the board that because the state statute now permits ADUs as of right, the town’s conditional‑use procedure must be removed and a new ordinance section drafted for consideration at Town Meeting.
"State RSA 674:72 now allows Accessory Dwelling Units by right," Rollins said, and she added she will draft new language for the board to review and potentially place on the Town Meeting warrant. The board took the direction as an administrative drafting task; the removal of conditional‑use requirements will be subject to the board’s review and voter approval if a warrant article is required.
