Select Board restarts search for administrative assistant after candidate withdraws

Resident Mark Kenison pressed the board for updates on filling the administrative assistant position. Chair Norman Brown said the board had selected a candidate who then withdrew after receiving a counteroffer and promotion from her current employer. "We're unfortunately back to the drawing board," Brown said, adding the position requires a particular skill set and compliance with federal and state rules.
Board members said they have multiple applicants and will pare the field to candidates who can handle a fast-paced municipal role; Terri Lararb noted the departing employee Amanda remains supporting the town part-time and thanked residents for patience. The board later voted to review applications in non-public session under RSA 91-A:3, II(b) and took that action at 8:10 p.m.
