Resident asks Select Board to change Belle Hunt road name to Lockwood to match deed

Mark Guaraldi told the Select Board on July 6 that his deed lists his property as being on Lockwood Road and asked the board to change the recorded road name so it matches his deed. "On my deed, it states that the road is actually Lockwood Road," Guaraldi said, and he asked the board to pursue the change.
Chair Norman Brown replied that the town had previously forwarded a similar request to the town attorney, who at that time advised the town that a change could not be made. Brown said the board will send Guaraldi's written request to the town attorney for fresh guidance and asked Guaraldi to submit materials in writing to the drop box labeled "Select Board." "Submit everything in writing and put it in the drop box in an envelope titled 'Select Board'," Brown said. The board did not take further action at the meeting and did not set a deadline for the attorney review.
