Council approves parking deferral for 81-unit Wasatch conversion; members flag traffic concerns

Developer Jeff Mansell said the project will provide full kitchens and that the site will have off-street parking, with the project short eight stalls from the two-per-unit requirement.
Councilor Sellers (speaker 6) and others raised concern about traffic flow and past incidents in that corridor; Sellers asked that city staff consider traffic monitoring or other mitigation as the project moves forward. Planning and engineering staff said the development retains the two access points under Wasatch and that traffic can be monitored. The council approved Resolution 26-30 on introduction.
