Council members flagged that proposed salary increases for the mayor, city council, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals members have already been included in the budget draft and will be discussed at the July 7 work session. The meeting minutes note that account numbers in the new financial system are still being reconciled and that most proposed figures were based on current-year actuals; staff said full "actuals" were not yet printable while the reconciliation continues. The Comptroller's Office also indicated it will not approve the budget until the city audit is complete, linking the timing of final adoption to the pending audit work.
